Ma and Pa Kettle at Waikiki is coming on at 4:30AM EST on CineCanal Classic here in Costa Rica.
They play one of the various episodes weekly.

Ma and Pa go native... and Waikiki goes wacky!

Tonight is looks like Ma and Pa, along with daughter Rosie, go off to Hawaii
in answer to cousin Rodney's call for help running his pineapple farm while he
recovers from an illness.
Pa soon causes a major explosion and gets himself kidnapped.

Where I grew up they used to show a series of movies at 10:30pm every Friday night after the 10 o'clock news. One set of movies was Sherlock Holmes. Then they had Charlie Chan. Then Ma and Pa Kettle. Hilarity ensued.

I still watch all three whenever I can, plus Mr Motto starring Peter Lorre is on a lot these days down here on the clasic cinema channel (watching the Magnificent Seven now). Mr. Motto was a Japanese Charlie Chan who was also a jujitsu expert and a private eye. Funny shit.
